The pink umbrella is us.

An upscale boutique in the historic downtown, mom and daughter owned, named after the little girl whose picture hangs over the register. Pull over.

One room, and we did it in pink and gold.

Pressed tin ceiling from whenever this building went up, painted gold. Two spiral chandeliers. Brass rails, white tables, a blush wall at the back.

Everything is folded flat where you can see it, and if you want the thing in the window it is on a rack within reach of the door.

You are exactly where you need to be. It is framed on the wall, so we are stuck with it.

She is the little girl in the gold frame on the pink wall, above the register, where most shops would hang a logo. The shop is named after her.

Her mother and her grandmother run it. That is the whole company.
